WEVA Expo 2008 took place in Orlando August 11-14, and yours truly, the intrepid "Digital Guy" was there to present Top Tips for DVD and Blu-ray. I was happy to see a full room in attendance, and many interesting questions were asked by the crowd. After that, I was invited to take part in the High-Def Workflow Panel moderated by Roy Chapman of WEVA. Imagine my surprise when the first question from
the audience at the end of the panel was about High-Definition content on disc - specifically, Blu-ray disc. On both Tuesday and Wednesday, DVDA Director Ron Dabbs (of Evatone) and I held forth at the DVDA booth in the WEVA exhibit hall, and met with a number of friendly WEVA members who had lots questions about DVD and Blu-ray disc, and the general future of video publishing. A good time was had by all attendees and exhibitors, alike, including our good friend Larry Jordan, who presented on HD workflows, and was manning his booth in the exhibit hall.
