TUTORIAL TOPIC: SCRIPTING
TUTORIAL TITLE: COPY/PASTE SCRIPTING COMMANDS
Creating Script command lines is simple, but using them repeatedly is easier now that there is a Copy
and Paste function in the Script Command Editor. This feature was added in DVDSP 3, so it is
now possible to COPY and PASTE command lines within Scripts, or
from Script to Script. Don’t forget that you can always create a tiny
kernel of a script and save it as a Script Description file, which can be re-imported as many times as needed, and modified to customize it. ...

Copying and Pasting Scripting Commands
Script Commands can be quite repetitive to program, but the Copy and Paste functions added in DVDSP 3 really helps speed this up. You may now copy a command, or a group of commands, from any script opened in the Script Editor and paste them into the same script, or a different script.
For example, note the Script Editor display below... we're going to copy the #2 Command line , and move it to a different script. This saves a lot of time, since it's MUCH faster to copy and paste a command then it is to create a new script, and repeat the settings of an existing command.
Source Script Command List
To Copy a Command, select the desired Command, or group of Commands, and select COPY from the Edit Menu.
Select Copy , or type Cmd-C
It's the identical contect as a Copy operation in any other application.
Once selected, open the desired destination script in the Script Editor Tab, and execute a Paste operation.
The command we are copying will be pasted at the end of the current Command LIst, and will appear in Command Line 9:
That's all there is to this tutorial! An amazingly simple addition that adds an amazingly powerful function to DVD Studio Pro Scripting.
Now if they could only add a way for me to just THINK the command, and have it created automatically!
Hope you enjoy this tutorial, and don't forget to rate it for others!
