PP1-01: 1Menu 4Tracks Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This DVD is a simple playback suitable for a demo reel, spot reel or similar. It contains a Splash page, which plays first, then it navigates to one Menu which can select from the four available video tracks (SEG1, SEG2, SEG3, SEG4). • Each track, once selected from a menu button, will play and then return to the same button on the menu (the default button on the MAINMENU has not been set). • If you want to always return to the SAME button on the MAINMENU, set the default button to that number. • If you want to be able to play ALL tracks, use the 1M 4Trks Play All or 1M4Trks Play in Sequence template instead

PP1-02: 1M 4Trks Play All in Sequence Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This DVD is a simple Menu with One button, and four Video tracks that all play in sequence It starts with a SPLASH SCREEN - this could be any graphic you wish; be sure you use a graphic that is 720 x 480 pixels, @ 72 DPI, and respect the Video Action Safe Zone (avoid the outer 5% of the screen) • To play all segments, selecting the Play All menu button starts the playback at SEG1. • Each track plays, and jumps to the next SEGment upon completion • After segment 4, the project returns to the Menu, and never plays the SPLASH SCREEN again.

PP1-03: 1 Menu 4 Tracks w/Play All Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This DVD Is a simple Menu plus four tracks, with a special Play All Segments feature added. • Each track, once selected from a button, will play and then return to the same button on the menu • To play all, selecting the play all button sets the variable PlayAllFlag to 1. • It does this by JUMPing to the Play All Script; the script sets the PlayAllFlag variable, then jumps to SEG1 to begin playback. • Each track then plays in sequence, and jumps to its own Test script at its finish; • Each Test script checks for PlayAllFlag=1; if 1, it will play the next segment, otherwise it will jump back to menu ("Jump Button "PlaySegX" of Menu "MainMenu"). • After segment 4, the Play All end script resets the flag value to zero , and returns to the Menu. SPECIAL NOTES on THIS PROJECT: The "flag variable" technique used in this project is a very basic building block in every DVD Author's bag of tricks! This project also uses the "Advancing Button Highlight" to lead the user through the choices; • Note that every time a clip returns to the menu, it highlights the NEXT button in sequence. Check out the text of the Test scripts - that's where this trick is accomplished, using the "Jump Button "XX" of Menu "XX Menu" command.

PP1-04: Simple Movie Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This disc simply plays an opening title video, and then the movie. • When the movie is finished, it plays the "TheEnd" graphic card. • You can customize this project by replacing the Title Video Track with your own video and the Movie with your own movie - • of course, you can create Chapter Markers easily. • To complete the customization, replace the "The End" graphic with your own file, or eliminate it completely.

PP1-05: Simple Movie - Graphics Open

How This DVD Works:
	This is a Simple Movie Disc with a Graphics Open - • It opens with the Title Graphics Card, then plays the Credits Graphics Card and then plays the MOVIE MPEG track. • When finished, it plays the "The End" Menu graphic • To utilize this project, replace TITLE VIDEO and CREDIT VIDEO with your own title and credits videos • If you don't want a CREDIT video, change the TIMEOUT property of the TITLE CARD to "MOVIE"

PP1-06: Simple Movie - Video Open

How This DVD Works:
	This is a Simple Movie Disc with very few frills... • It opens with the TITLE VIDEO track, plays the CREDITS VIDEO Track and then plays the MOVIE Track. • When finished, it plays the "The End" Menu graphic • To utilize this project, replace TITLE VIDEO and CREDITS VIDEO with your own title and credits videos. • If you don't want a CREDITS video, change the END JUMP property of the TITLE VIDEO to "MOVIE" • Of course, you can replace the "TheEnd" graphic with your own graphic file, or even design something in the Menu Editor.

PP1-07: Simple (but) Enhanced Movie Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This Simple Enhanced Movie Disc opens with the FBI WARNING, INTERPOL WARNING, and the CUSTODIAN OF RECORDS graphics (you can change the order any of these or delete them if you don't need them) then it plays the TITLE Card, the DIRECTOR Card, and the CREDITS Graphics Card and finally: it plays the MOVIE track. When finished, it plays the "VISIT US AT OUR WEB SITE" graphic. This web screen is NOT an active link to the internet, but it COULD be if you modify the project to use DVD@ccess. If you want to use DVD@cess, change the END JUMP property of MOVIE to "WEBLINK LIVE uses DVD@cess", program the DVD@cess property to URL, and customize the URL as needed. Remember that DVD @cess only works on Computers

PP1-08: More Complex Movie Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This is a Movie Disc THAT IS More Complex than the Simple Movie, but not as complex as the Hollywood Feature • It opens with the SPLASH SCREEN (a Graphic Logo for your Movie Company?) • then plays the LOGO ("My Movie Company Presents") • then plays the DIRECTOR CARD ("A film by Alan Smithee") • then the TITLE CARD, and • the CREDITS CARD and finally: • it plays the MOVIE track. • When finished, it plays the "The End" MENU graphic • To utilize this project, replace the OPENING CARDS with your own GRAPHICS files (PICTs or PSDs), and replace the MOVIE with your own MPEG video encode.

How This DVD Works:
	This is a more involved MOVIE disc, with lots of opening screens and function menus • It opens with the SPLASH SCREEN, plays the COMPANY LOGO, and then the FBI and INTERPOL screens; • The MAIN MENU allows selection of other MENUsfor setting Audio and Subtitles, or Selecting Chapters • To utilize this project, replace COMPANY LOGO and SPLASH SCREEN with your own title and credits cards • Replace the MAIN MENU with your Main Ad Message • If you don't want a SPLASH video, change the END JUMP property of the LOGO to "MAIN MENU" • Set the MAIN MENU timeout to a value that makes sense for your project - between 30-60 seconds should be right...

PP1-11: "Amazing Records" Music Demo Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This is a Recording Artist demo disc, but could also work for a Talent Agency, or Directors' or DP's Management Firm • It opens with the MAIN MENU, and allows selection of one of 5 record ARTIST/TALENT menus; • Each Artist has five videos, selectable by buttons on the menu • Each Artist's Video segment should have a different video clip, • To utilize this project, replace the MAIN and ARTIST MENUs with your own Menu Graphics; • Also replace each VIDEO segment with the your own clip that corresponds to that Artist/Song • This template can be modified to display things OTHER than Artists/Songs, of course; Anything that needs categories can use this type of template - turn off any pauses when you build this.

PP1-12: Corporate World Demo Disc

How This DVD Works:
	This is a Corporate Marketing or Shareholder's Demo disc • It opens with the WORLDWIDE MENU, and allows selection of one of 5 REGION MENUS; • Each REGION MENU has buttons for four identical categories, and a fifth button to go back to the WORLDWIDE MENU; • Each CATEGORY SEGMENT should contain a different video clip, corresponding to that segment for that region; • To utilize this project, replace the WORLDWIDE MENU and each REGIONAL MENU with your own graphics • Then replace each VIDEO SEGMENT with your own video clip that corresponds to that category for that region.
