I've posted new tutorial tonight explaining about SPRMs, the handy little registers that track every DVD player's operations, and can b eof invaluable assistance during Scripting.

This tutorial is FREE for all site visitors - these is not an accompanying project for this tutorial. But we DO use these SPEMs in many of the Scripting Projects available in the Store, or aspart of the Club membership.

A while back, as an experiment in fun, I created a table called "Downloading vs DVD" in order to answer the question: "Is it more effective to download a movie, or buy the DVD"?

Buttons Over Video Breakthrough!

Sorry to have been quiet for a few days, but I have been deep into solving a gnarly problem of utilizing Buttons Over Video as Menus on Tracks.

This one kept my head scratching for a few days, but I wore it down until it dropped like an exhausted wildeebeast!

New Subtitle Project!

Today I built a very complex Subtitle Scripting Project that emulates how Hollywood Features manage their subtitle selections.

This project (PP-35a) is called "Scripting 'Sticky' Subtitles" and that's exactly what it does - the Scripted solution manipulates the value of a GPRM used as a Subtitle Pointer. Well, everyone, I certainly hope you like the new look and revised organization of the Recipe4DVD.com site...

I've spent a fair amount of time trying to coordinate the functions of the menu, but if you feel something belongs under a different parent menu, please tell me so.

Want to kick butt in the Menu Editor and finish your DVDs faster?
Use the "Power Editors" secret weapon - QuicKeys

Apple sadly made it difficult to use keyboard shortcuts while in the Menu Editor, but adding QuicKeys to your Mac can make a WORLD of difference in how fast you can edit and move menu buttons and align elements in the Graphical View!

Here are my most-used "Secret" Menu Editor QuickKeys:
