Compressor is Apple's new encoding application for DVD Studio Pro 2 and Final Cut Pro 4. The application can be installed with either FCP 4 or DVDSP 2 and once installed, can be utilized by either application, or both, to perform MPEG2 (and other format) encoding in foreground or background modes.
