Trying to figure out what the secret recipe is for doing a smooth transition from an opening scene into a motion menu?
Try editing the opening video onto the front of your menu loop; output that as a continuous piece of video, not two segments
adjust your GOP encode structure so the frame boundary between the opening and the beginning of the menu (the matchframe point) is exactly on a GOP boundary after encoding.. (GOP 15 or 10 is handy) The QuickTime endoer does GOP 15 encoding automatically, so this is a piece of cake in Final Cut or QuickTime encoding. Encode the entire piece - opening plus motion menu loop segment, but in DVD studio Pro you must author it into a TRACK, and add your buttons using the Interactive Marker function! Set a chapter point (DVDSP MArker) exactly at the GOP header on the matchframe point and set your loopback point on the menu to that chapter. Name it and set the JUMP WHEN FINISHED to that point.
