Andres -

you can put a hilite/subpicture stream over your video program and navigate back and forth between buttons while the video is playing - of course, the quality of the graphics you can display will be limited by the quality of the subpicture area -
and the limited color palette (16 colors).

No reason why it shouldn't be visible all the time... I would, however, use one invisible button (no hilight under it) to "trap" the cursor when the subpicture first displays - that way, the viewer must navigate to "select" a choice, prior to activating it.. assuming, of course, this is the way you wish it to work.
