If you are already an owner of a DVD Companion Pro-Pack, Starter-Pack or Wedding Pack, please accept our sincere thanks for your support and your purchase. We hope you are having fun using your Pro-Pack learning DVD Studio Pro, or making cool DVDs the easy way! (If you own the Wedding Pack, you are NOT affected by this upgrade, so continue making your cool Wedding-themed DVDs with confidence!)
SO, WHO DOES NEED THIS UPGRADE?
Any DVDSP user who has a DVD Companion Pro-Pack or Starter-Pack, and intends to use it with DVD Studio Pro V1.5 running under Mac OS X. Our investigations show that this problem does not show up in Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2, which many of you may still be using.
WHY WOULD I NEED THIS UPGRADE?
We've noticed that when many of the project templates in our Pro-Packs are loaded into DVD Studio Pro V1.5 running under OS X, some of our temp MPEG asset files don't properly show up in the Graphical View, and/or are reported as "missing assets". Reconnecting to them again (using the "Asset Files dialog") does NOT seem to fix the problem, either - It seems that our original temp MPEG asset files are a bit too short in length to be properly recognized by DVDSP 1.5 under OS X. To eliminate this, we have revised SOME of the MPEG assets, and they are now available for you to INSTANTLY DOWNLOAD... By the way, the graphic assets (Menus, PICT files, etc) do not seem to be affected by the DVDSP OS X upgrade, and neither do the AC3 audio streams or the Video Angle Assets we have distributed in Starter Pack and Pro Pack 2. Only the Colored MPEG temp assets (yellow, white, blue, etc) seem affected by the change.
HERE'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO DOWNLOAD THE FILES:
Please have your Pro-Pack or Starter Pack serial number handy, as you will need the code on the serial number in order to download the Stuffed project files. Please note that both the USERNAME and the PASSWORD are CaSe SeNsItIvE!
When you are prompted, enter the USERNAME "PP1" if you own Pro Pack 1, "PP2" if you own Pro-Pack 2 and "SPP" if you own the Starter Pack.
If you have an Apple DE or ASE Special Edition Pro Pack, this download page will also accept your PPASE and PPEASE2 registration codes as well. If not, please email me.
For the PASSWORD, enter the FIRST 8 CHARACTERS in your PP or SP SERIAL NUMBER
DO remember to enter the dash between the first and second groups of characters.
Do NOT enter anything after the second dash, including the second dash!
Your PASSWORD entry should look like this:
TTT-XXXX (TTT= "PP1, PP2, or SPP" - XXXX are the 4 characters after the dash)
Once you enter the username and password, you will be routed to the download directory's Index page where all of the files are thumbnailed for your reference.
At the top of the page is a special link is available to download the ENTIRE SERIES of revised MPEG files in Stuffit format in a single file - this file is 7.5 MBytes, so it will take a while unless you have DSL or Cable Modem.
Clicking on any THUMBNAIL will automatically begin to download the stuffed .SIT version of that file. You will need Stuffit Expander (a free utility) to expand the files back into usable M2V form. If you don't already have STUFFIT EXPANDER, get it by clicking here.

WHAT DO I DO IF I CANNOT DOWNLOAD THE FILES?
Please send us an email indicating this, including your complete mailing address, and the serial number of your "-Pack" and we will ship you a CD containing the new MPEG update files, free of charge, and postpaid in the USA. Delivery of this disc may take several days, however, so downloading the files will get them to you immediately!
